"TRANSBORDADOR ESPACIAL DE LA NASA, DESPIERTA CON CANCIÓN DE ABBA" - La estación espacial internacional tiene un peso adicional de 2 toneladas debido a un nuevo segmento que fue instalado en la estación. La nueva sección fue instalada mediante una caminata espacial donde los especialistas de la misión Bob Curbeam y Christer Fuglesang remplazaron una cámara y ajustaron la nueva sección. "ABBA-EL MUSEO" ABRIRÁ EN ESTOCOLMO -Un museo interactivo donde estará presente su música, atuendos, instrumentos originales del grupo Sueco ABBA abrirá en Estocolmo en el 2008 anunciaron los organizadores. El plan ha sido endosado por los cuatro miembros del grupo, "Es grandioso que alguien sienta la necesidad de dar seguimiento a nuestra historia musical y la quiera hacer accesible. Nosotros creemos que será un museo divertido y original para visitar".- los 4 miembros de ABBA, Agnetha Faltskog, Anni-Frid Reuss, Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus dijeron en un comunicado conjunto- Después del festival Eurovisión, ABBA se convirtió en el mayor rubro de exportación de Suecia. El grupo ha vendido más de 370 millones de discos. Los planes para el museo fueron concebidos por los empresarios suecos Ulf Westman, un organizador de eventos masivos y su esposa Ewa Wigenheim-Westman. La alcaldesa de Estocolmo, Kristina Axen Ohlin espera que el nuevo Museo ABBA genere 500,000 visitantes por año después de que abra en el 2008. — "Ésto hará a la capital sueca todavía más popular entre los millones de fans que tiene ABBA en el mundo; como ciudadana de Estocolmo podría decir que es justo lo que hacía falta turísticamente hablando"- dijo Axen Ohlin en conferencia de prensa. "El museo también contará con un estudio donde los visitantes podrán grabar sus propias canciiones de ABBA, una experiencia interactiva capaz de recrear la sensación de estar en el estadio de Wembley y ver a ABBA en vivo con 50,000 otras personas." Westman dice. Los organizadores aún buscan una locación adecuada, pero se dice será en la parte central de Estocolmo. Wigenheim-Westman dijo que la idea tardó casi dos años en cocinarse con los miembros de ABBA. La legendaria banda donará material para la exhibición pero su participación se limita a eso únicamente ya que no estarán involucrados en el proyecto, mismo que será manejado por un consejo de patrocinadores. A pesar de que el grupo no ha tocado junto desde 1982, sigue vendiendo discos a razón de 3 millones por año y su musical Mamma Mia! ha sido visto por más de 27 millones de personas alrededor del mundo.

MADONNA & ABBA SE UNEN? - Madonna tiene programado ir al estudio con las estrellas de ABBA, Agnetha Fältskog y Anni-Frid 'Frida' Lyngstad depués de sostener pláticas con las leyendas Suecas. Las originales Dancing Queens accedieron a grabar material con Madonna después de quedar gratamente impresionadas con su sampleado de Gimme, Gimme Gimme en su single "Hung Up" (Aferrada). Una fuente dijo al diario The Sun: "Madonna ha estado en contacto con Agnetha y Frida desde hace varios meses, Madonna es la fuerza impulsora de esta idea ya que quedó contenta con el sampleado que hizo de la canción de ABBA". "A Agnetha y Frida les encantó, y acogieron la idea de Madonna por rejuvencer uno de sus famosos temas". Los escritores de ABBA, Björn Ulveaus & Benny Andersson no estarán involucrados en el proyecto, pero dieron su aprobación al mismo.

Madonna es una fan de ABBA, es cierto! , pero también se dice cobró dinero a Universal Music por permitir que dichos comentarios de su admiración por ABBA aprezcan en el reciente CD "ABBA Number Ones".

BJÖRN SE PRESENTÓ EN EL SHOW X- FACTOR DE SIMON COWELL - Björn apareció como lo prometiera en el show británico "X FACTOR", sin embargo Benny como acostumbra se ocultó de las cámaras. El show estuvo cargado de energía y fue interesante ver como Björn asisitó a algunos de los participantes en la ejecución de los temas. ABBA ACEPTA INVITACIÓN DE SIMON COWELL PARA PRESENTARSE EN "X FACTOR" - Las leyendas de ABBA, BENNY ANDERSSON & BJÖRN ULVAEUS han accedido a aparecer como jurados invitados por el magnate musical SIMON COWELL en el show de talentos que se transmeite en el Reino Unido, llamado "THE X FACTOR". Los compositores suecos han aceptado la invitación del famoso juez y productor de AMERICAN IDOL para aparecer casi al final de estas series de la cadena ITV (En Nov. 06). FRIDA SE APENA POR HABER SACADO SU PROPIO TICKET EN UNA RIFA DE CARIDAD. - r ANNI-FRID LYNGSTAD quedó apenada en una Rifa de Caridad de Subastas (14SEP06) cuando ella introdujo la mano y sacó su propio boleto. El evento era para el "Fideicomiso de Sanación Sam Buxton Sunflower" en este evento también se encontraban estrellas tales como los rockeros de Deep Purple IAN PAICE & JON LORD. Sin embargo al momento de darse cuenta que había seleccionado su propio boleto, ella lo rompió inmediatamente. Un observador cerca de Frida comentó: "Ella estaba verdaderamente consternada, tomó con gracia la situación y debido a su gran corazón, lo rompió inmediatmente". La Princesa Frida dijo que no podía aceptar el premio y después de romperlo sacó otro boleto para que alguien más pudiera ganar. "Fue un bonito gesto" dijeron los asistentes.

- An interactive museum featuring the music, original clothes and instruments of the Swedish pop group ABBA will open in Stockholm in 2008, organisers said. The planned museum has been endorsed by all four members of the group, "It's great that someone feels like taking on our musical history and making it accessible, we think this will be a fun and swinging museum to visit." the four ABBA members Agnetha Faltskog, Anni-Frid Reuss, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus said in a joint statement. After winning Eurovision, ABBA went on to become Sweden's biggest export. The group has sold around 370 million records in total. The plans for the museum were hatched by Swedish entrepreneurs Ulf Westman, an event consultant who is spearheading the project with his wife Ewa Wigenheim-Westman. Stockholm mayor Kristina Axen Olin expects the new ABBA museum — to draw 500,000 visitors a year when it opens in 2008, — will make the Swedish capital a more popular tourist attraction for the millions of ABBA fans around the world. "As a Stockholmer, this is what you have been missing," Axen Ohlin said at a news conference to unveil the plan. "We are convinced that this is important both for Stockholm citizens and for marketing the city"- . The museum will feature original outfits and instruments used by the group, handwritten song lyrics, a display of different awards, and "all other things we can think of and find," said Ewa Wigenheim-Westman. The museum will also feature a studio where visitors can record their own ABBA songs, and an interactive experience that "will recreate the feeling of being at Wembley stadium and seeing ABBA live with 50,000 others," Westman said. Organizers are still searching for a suitable location for the museum, but said it will open somewhere in central Stockholm during 2008. Wigenheim-Westman said the idea took nearly two years to convince the former ABBA members. The band members will donate the material for the exhibits, but will otherwise not be involved in the project, which will be funded by company sponsors, Westman said. ABBA is one of the most successful bands in history, having sold more than 370 million albums. MADONNA & ABBA UNITE? - Madonna is set to go into the studio with ABBA stars Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid 'Frida' Lyngstad after holding talks with the Swedish pop legends. The Dancing Queens agreed to record material with Madonna after being impressed with her sampling of Gimme Gimme Gimme on her Hung Up single. A source tells The Sun newspaper, "Madonna has been in contact with Agnetha and Frida for a few months. "Madonna was the driving force behind the idea because she was so happy with her sample of Gimme Gimme Gimme on Hung Up. "Agnetha and Frida loved it, they really warmed to Madonna for rejuvenating one of their most famous tracks." ABBA songwriters Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson will not be involved but gave two thumbs up to the project.

Madonna is truly an ABBAfanm but they say that she nevertheless asked money from Universal Music to let them press these comments in the recent release called "ABBA Number Ones".

MADONNA'S ABBA TRIBUTE - MADONNA has paid tribute to 70s pop superstars ABBA, in the sleevenotes for their new Greatest Hits album. The MATERIAL GIRL credits the Swedish fourpiece with inspiring her and a generation of artists. She writes, "ABBA's timeless music continues to inspire me. It's joyous. The show was charged of energy and it was interesting watching Björn helping some of the contestants with their interpretation. Björn appeared at the last minute although the International ABBF,was told that no soul from Sweden would be there, Björn made it. He was just back from Moscow after Russia's premiére of this musical as well. The genius Catherine Johnson, author of the book of the play was there as well. EMBARRASSED ABBA STAR DRAWS HER OWN RAFFLE TICKET. - Former ABBA member ANNI-FRID LYNGSTAD was left embarrassed at a London charity auction last Thursday (14SEP06) when she drew her own winning raffle ticket. The ABBA star was at an event in aid of the Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust alongside stars including Deep Purple's rockers IAN PAICE & JON LORD. However, when she selected her own ticket the kind-hearted star immediately tore it up. An onlooker says, "She was rather shocked but she thought it was funny and made a joke about it. "However, she graciously said she could never accept the prize and tore up her ticket and drew another one so someone else could win. It was a lovely gesture."

Ago. 24 "One night in Tartu" -Se estrena el musical CHESS en lengua Estoniana..- El día de hoy se estrena CHESS- el musical- en la población de Tartu, Estonia. El productor ejecutivo, Paavo Nogene, estuvo planenado esta producción en forma de concierto, desde el 2004-2005 con Tim Rice (co-autor de la obra con Benny & Björn y que es conocido por ser también co-autor de otros musicales exitosos como Evita, Jesucristo Superestrella ). Él asegura haber escogido este musical de los 80's porque no es irrelvante la historia de la Guerra Fría que envuelve al musical a los pobladores de esta región Bálticoa y porque asegura que Benny & Björn son de los compositores más grandes y prolíficos que ha dado el mundo y la música de CHESS sigue vigente y han sido hits en el mundo.este , y sabe que su conexión con ABBA traerá vistantes de todo el mundo. Se tiene planeado que los conciertos terminen en Mayo de 2007 y se efectuarán en el mayor y mejor teatro tecnológicamente hablando, el Vanemuine.

Ago. 21 Toni Collette dice Gracias por la música de ABBA.- desde que Toni Collette interpretó a la chica desadaptada que únicamente soñaba con casarse en la alcalmada cinta "La Boda de Muriel" en 1994, su carrera ha ido en aseenso y agradece de esto la exposición que la música de ABBA le dió a la película y por ende a ella misma. Ahora gracias a esa actuación que le valió ser aclamada por la crítica internacional, tiene por primera vez un rol principal al lado del actor Robin Williams en la cinta "The Night Listener" , todavía sin traducción oficial es un thriller que trata de llamadas nocturnas aterrorizantes.

Ago. 10  Mamma Mia Suecia - dará su última función en Enero del 2007. Tras 3 años de éxito ininterrumpido la versión sueca del musical cerrara. En entrevista exclusiva con Martin Redhe Nord ( quien interpreta a 'Pepper' en la obra, verdaderamente el mejor de todos!!! ), él nos comentó que la intención de Benny & Björn era terminar la temporada cuando la venta de boletos es alta aún. Mencionó que por ser Suecia un país de poca tradición teatral y un país de pocos habitantes era mejor de este modo. Es una pena porque el cast de Suecia, es el mejor de todas las producciones que hay. Esta entrevista estará próximamente en esta página.

Aug. 24 "One night in Tartu" -CHESS opens today in Estonia - and it will be played in Estonian with english subtitles assures executive producer Paavo Nogene. He'd been in contact with Tim Rice (co-writer of famous musicals like Evita or Jesuschrist Superstar) since 2004-2005. Since the 80's CHESS has been re-written several times and this time specially for this concert format. Nogene says that he chose this musical because it would bring ABBA lovers to the place and specially because the story isn't irrelevant to Baltic people and also, because the score is still contemporary due to the music of Benny & Björn, two of the most prolific and best composers of the world. The concerts will last until May 2007 at the Vanemuine theatre, the most big and technologically advanced of Estonia.

Aug. 21 Toni Collette thanks ABBA for the music.-Ever since she won the public vote as the frumpy misfit in Muriel's Wedding ( 1994) , Toni Collette has played a series of underdogs and nonconformists. Now her latest role, created by Armistead Maupin, is taking her into darker territory. But just how close to her own life is her screen persona? She has nedly the chance as main actress in the film "The Night Listener". ColLette thinks that ABBA music gave exposure to the film and therefore to her.

Aug.. 10 Mamma Mia Sweden closes - after 3 years of success, the musical will stage for the last time in January,2007. Martin Redhe Nord ( The best 'Pepper' of all - and the best cast so far --really!!! ) gave us an interview where he tell us Benny & Björn took this decision of closing when ticket sales are still at the top. "Being Sweden a country without theatrical tradition, and a small country in number of inhabitants, this is a smart decision" he assured.
